Synopsis: This 1-hour drama is about a man, Adam, who worked closely with a shady government operation. It begins with him returning home to find that his family had been killed and his wife had been kidnapped. The pilot episode would explore these events as well as his place at work and his defection. The pilot will conclude with Adam pledging to shut down the shady operation after learning that his wife may still be alive and that there are “greater things at play”. For this season, there will be several key characters that play large roles. Adam, the main character, Janice his co-worker, Adam’s wife Nat, and the man who killed his family. As the episodes go by, Adam and Janice will begin to unveil the government operation’s secrets and experiments. They learn that this was the work of a secretive cult that intends on “resetting” the world through nuclear chaos. Some time into the series, Janice will take Adam to meet a group of people who are actively working to resist the cult. Although he doesn’t trust them, Adam works with them because they share the same goal and time is running out. As the season concludes and the group prepares their facilities for Plan Z, in case they fail, Adam confronts some of the agents involved with the murder of his family. Although Adam succeeds with his vengeance, his wife is killed and the world goes quiet as hundreds of bombs decimate the world. Adam and Janice retreat to their only option for survival: Plan Z, Cryogenic sleep. The season concludes with them waking up 100 years after the nukes were dropped. This series has three seasons planned and may fit within the 20 episodes per season length but can also be adjusted. I think that although it would do fine for Cable networks, it would also fit in with streaming platforms. Although it’s story-driven, character will be a huge focus as we see Adam deal with his loss. Season 2 would be about Adam and Janice waking up from stasis to see what happened to the world. They will learn that remnants of the government operation and cultists have endured. They will spend that time hunting down the cult leaders and shut down their plans. Through this season, the focus will still be on Adam but Janice will begin to play a more personal role. After exploring the wastelands and facing a lot of dangers, they gain the trust of the locals after they defeat the cultists who were oppressing the area. Adam, still mourning, decides to return to cryostasis but Janice decides to start her life in the postapocalyptic world and concludes season 2.
