Paper and Presentation Topic: Each student will complete a research paper and presentation on the same topic. Students will choose the focus/topic of the paper and presentation, but topic must be pre-approved (submit via “Paper and Presentation Topic” assignment in Canvas). The topic should be related to an IT area required to support operations of a business (manufacturing or service) or an IT case study of an organization. The focus should be on how the adoption of the IT solution helped alleviate a business problem. No two students may have the same topic or same organization/company.
Format Length: 7-10 pages (starting on 1st page of actual paper not including cover page or references)
Format: Double-spaced, Times New Roman font, 12 point font size, 1 inch margins on all 4 sides, page #s in lower right corner (starting #1 on 1st page of actual paper not including cover page or references)
Structure/Topics to Cover: Paper should have the proper research paper layout. Ensure to include and address these questions/topics: Introduction, Overview/Background/Methodologies, Is the use of this Information System affective?, Use of this Information System to support operations of the business, Impact this Information System has on the organization, Conclusion, “Takeaways” that you personally learned or found interesting, Future of this Information System and personal recommendations/thoughts.
