Institute of Clinical Excellence, Public Health England. What is the rationale for choosing
this paper? Clearly state how you located your paper? For example, what electronic
databases and search engines did you use? What phrases or keywords did you use to
search and retrieve resources? Did you supplement your electronic searches through
reading wider journal articles, books, Government papers? Why are IT and literature
searching skills important for nurses? Support discussion with wider references.
Critically appraise one key important message that has arisen from your chosen paper.
Please consider: the clarity of the information; the author / organisation; the intended
audience; the scope of the document; the strengths and limitations; the evidence base
