Objectives: Students will analyse the epidemiological underpinnings of a media article relating to a health topic.
Task: Students will be randomly allocated to a health topic. Each student will receive one journal article and a media article on the same topic. Students will be required to summarise the content for both the journal article and media report. Students will then evaluate each information source, before forming a conclusion about the role of epidemiology in the media and health.
Word limit: 1,200 words
Presentation requirements: Assignment to be presented in a word document, single spaced, 12 point font.
